The bathroom had a big walk-in shower. The bed was huge. Water was replenished daily for me.
I had to walk 30 minutes to get to the city center, this was a bit of a trek for me. There were no bars in the immediate area. Taxis were required to get around.

my room, a beautiful double or twin room, felt huge. it was lovely it had a balcony with views. breakfast was a delight, it had many choices.
the gym was tiny and only had a treadmill. some tiles was loose by the pool. the walk back from the beach was steep, i found it hard.

I found the building quite beautiful. The staff was really good and attentive. The location was quiet, a REAL bonus. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere throughout my stay.
There was a VERY slight issue with the room service being a tad slow one evening, but honestly, it was barely noticeable.

The outdoor dining area provided ample shade during lunch. The dinner menu offered delicious choices, including local specialties and international dishes. I found the service attentive and prompt throughout the dining experience.

awesome hilltop retreat!
warm welcome beautiful rooms friendly staff
the staff greeted me warmly and gave me a quick tour of the hotel. they assured me they were available for anything i needed! i ate on the terrace and the food was AMAZING!!! the staff were also really friendly.
there was a slight hiccup when i found the gym closed earlier than its stated hours one evening. it wasn't a major issue, but it was a little inconvenient.

The room included comfortable beds and quality linens for extra comfort. bathroom robes were also provided. the spacious, bright room had supremely comfy beds and pillows. I slept soundly each night. the room was equipped with toiletries.

amazing variety friendly staff very nice views
the breakfast had a amazing variety and it ran until 12pm, a real treat. the staff were friendly and always ready with assistance. i found the views very nice from the hotel, a true highlight of my stay.
i had trouble with the wifi one evening, but it was resolved quickly.

The terrace presented very pretty ruins of the original castle and large cypresses. the restaurant offered perfect dinners, avoiding pretentious nouvelle cuisine. The oysters from Oléron stand among the best fine de claire.

friendly staff free parking
The free car parking was very convenient, and the concierge staff were genuinely helpful! I appreciated the good service I got from the friendly staff. They were always available. The main terrace has great views. It was so pretty.
The walk to the promenade takes about ten minutes. It is uphill on the way back.

The staff was attentive. the location is walkable to the city center, yet removed from the immediate bustle. i appreciated the hotel's beautiful architecture. the attention to detail was evident throughout my stay. The historic building had a scenic ambiance.
The distance to the beach was a bit longer than expected. a climb was required returning from the beach. This was a minor inconvenience
